BURNOUT & OVERWHELM COACHING IN DUBAI & ABU DHABI

First things first. You typed “burnout” — so let’s be honest with each other for a moment.

The real, full kind of burnout is a complete shutdown. It comes after a long stretch of running on empty with nothing left to give – and it’s not something coaching can carry, or something to push through. That needs proper medical care: a doctor or psychologist, and the sooner the better. If that’s where you are right now – if you can’t get out of bed, can’t function, or feel you simply can’t go on – please start there. Reaching for that care isn’t failing. It’s the most important thing you can do for yourself.

But here’s what I see far more often. And it might be you.

You haven’t shut down. You’re still showing up, still delivering, still holding everything together. From the outside, you look completely fine. It’s underneath that things feel frayed — you’re tired in a way sleep doesn’t seem to touch, a little shorter with the people you love, quietly detached from things you used to enjoy, and wondering how much longer you can keep going like this.

That isn’t burnout yet. It’s overwhelm — and honestly, it’s the best possible moment to do something about it. This is the stage where we can gently turn things around, long before they ever reach the harder kind.

Does This Sound Like You?

  • Tired in a way that a good night’s sleep doesn’t quite fix?
  • Still doing everything — but running on empty while you do it?
  • A little shorter or more irritable with the people around you than you’d like?
  • Quietly detached from things, or people, you used to enjoy?
  • Lying awake with a busy mind, or waking up already dreading the day?
  • Feeling like it all rests on you, and you can’t quite put it down?

If you’re nodding along, take a breath — this is good news, not bad. What you’re describing isn’t collapse. It’s the early warning, the stage where your body and mind are asking for something to change before it gets heavier. And it’s very workable. Most of my clients arrive feeling exactly like this — overwhelmed, depleted, stretched thin — and what’s underneath it is almost always a nervous system regulation issue: a system that’s been on high alert for too long, kept there by quiet beliefs about how much you have to carry.

Why Resting Never Quite Seems to Be Enough
You've probably already tried the obvious things — an early night, a weekend away, promising yourself you'll slow down. And they help, for a day or two. Then the heaviness creeps back.
That's not because you're doing it wrong. It's because rest soothes the tiredness, but it doesn't touch what's causing it. Underneath, your nervous system has been stuck in "on" for so long that it's forgotten how to switch back to calm — and it's usually being held there by a quiet belief like "it all depends on me" or "I can't stop, or it'll all fall apart."
Until that eases, you'll keep refilling the tank and emptying it again. That's the part we actually work with — so the calm finally holds.

How We Refill the Tank — Together

This isn’t about doing less and hoping it sticks, or adding one more thing to an already full plate. We work gently, on three levels at once, to put back what’s been drained:

For the body, we help your depleted system stop running on adrenaline and start replenishing — so your energy genuinely comes back, not just enough to get through the day.

For the energy (subconscious), we find and ease what keeps you over-giving — often a belief you didn’t even know was running — so you stop pouring yourself out faster than you can refill.

For the mind, we bring that pattern into the light and make room for you to set limits without the guilt, so what you rebuild doesn’t drain straight back out when life gets busy again.

And alongside our sessions, I’ll quietly hand you simple tools of your own — so you can notice the early signs yourself and protect your energy, long after we’ve finished working together.

So you don’t just push through the overwhelm — you fill back up, and feel joyful and energetic again.

What Changes When the Overwhelm Lifts

This work isn’t about coping better with feeling drained. It’s about feeling energetic and joyful again:

  • You wake up with energy that lasts the day — not just enough to get through it.
  • You enjoy things again — the people, the work, the small moments that had gone flat.
  • You can rest without guilt, and the rest actually does its job.
  • You stop running on adrenaline all week and crashing at the weekend.
  • Your body stops sounding the alarm — the constant tiredness, the getting sick, the tired-but-wired nights.
  • You feel steady, clear, and present again — with enough of you left over for the life you’re working so hard for.

Bettina Koster

Burnout & Overwhelm Coach in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

I’m Bettina Koster — a holistic mental fitness coach and ICF-accredited life coach (PCC), with over 15 years in senior corporate leadership before this work. I know that overwhelmed, depleted, running-on-empty feeling from the inside, and I work with capable people who are carrying a lot — professionals, founders, mothers, and expats holding up a demanding life far from home. The thing they have in common isn’t weakness. It’s that they’ve been strong for too long, without enough coming back the other way.

I work holistically — body, mind and energy together — because depletion this deep doesn’t lift through rest or willpower alone. My work weaves together life coaching, practical mentoring and subconscious techniques, but since the exhaustion lives in the body, that’s where most of it happens: gently coaxing a system that’s been running on adrenaline back into a state where it can finally replenish. Through breathwork, Theta Healing® meditation, visualization, emotional release and softly sensing where the tiredness has lodged in your body, we release what you’ve been carrying so your energy has room to come back. At the root, I use Theta Healing® to loosen the beliefs that keep you over-giving, and the Emotion Code to clear the trapped emotions beneath them — so you stop emptying out faster than you can fill. It’s warm and practical, never abstract, and always paced to what you can hold.

I'd love for you to book a free introductory call, so we can talk about what's going on and see if we're a good fit.

What our Customers say

FAQ's

Possibly not in the full, clinical sense — and that’s genuinely good news. True burnout is a complete shutdown that usually needs medical support and real time to recover. Far more common is the stage before: overwhelmed, depleted, tired in a way rest doesn’t fix, but still functioning. That earlier stage is very workable, and it’s exactly what this coaching is for. If you’re still keeping going but running on empty, you’ve most likely caught it at the right time.

A gentle rule of thumb: if you genuinely can’t get out of bed, can’t function day to day, or feel you can’t go on, please reach out to a doctor or mental health professional first — that’s the right care, and I’ll always tell you honestly if I think that’s where you are. Coaching is for the stage before that, when you’re stretched thin but still standing. I’d rather point you to the right support than pretend coaching is the answer to everything.

Because rest eases the tiredness, but it doesn’t change what’s causing it. Usually that’s a nervous system stuck on high alert, held there by a quiet pattern of over-carrying. A holiday helps for a few days, then the heaviness returns — because the pattern is still running. We work with that underneath, so the calm actually lasts. You don’t need more rest on top of the same pattern. You need to ease what keeps emptying you.

It’s one-to-one and bio-energetic — Body, Mind and Energy together — working mostly and gently through the body, using breathwork, Theta Healing® meditation, visualization and emotional release, with Theta Healing® for the beliefs underneath and the Emotion Code for the trapped emotions tied to them. It’s calm, practical work, tailored to you. This is coaching, not therapy, and it doesn’t replace medical care — if that’s what you need, I’ll say so. You get a warm, personalised approach that works with your whole system — not advice to simply slow down.
